Storyline

During the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty, somewhere in the south of the Yangtze River, childhood sweethearts Xiao Xiaoyu and Zhang Yungu planted a pomegranate tree together. After growing up, the two fell in love. However, a large family fell in love with Zhang Yungu and forced her to get married. 　　Zhang Yungu was treated inhumanely and gave birth to a daughter, Xiaoyun. Later, there was a fire in the house, and Aunt Yun and her daughter escaped and relied on hard work to survive. Xiaoyun falls in love with Xiao's adopted son Youyu.
