Storyline
I'm Still Here is a portrayal of a tumultuous year in the life of actor Joaquin Phoenix. With remarkable access, the film follows the Oscar-nominee as he announces his retirement from a successful film career in the fall of 2008 and sets off to reinvent himself as a hip-hop musician. "I do not really get the point of this movie. It really looks to me like a big internal joke between Affleck and Phoenix that is extended in time by far too long. I have to praise Phoenix's performance but the character itself is too laughable to be kept for that long. Anyway, an interesting experiment but that could have been shown just in 15min."
