"Typical fare, well made It's lovely to watch movies from the early nineties where the handicraft of practical effects is still very much in vogue. The movie does grow substantially with its practical effects and its amazing cast. The one thing that bothers me about this movie is how uneven the sound is, where dialogue can be muffled and low, and the moment you turn up the sound there is a loud screeching scream and your speakers blow out. It is a fun movie for what it is, and I highly enjoyed it."
