Peter Graves ("Dr. Doug Martin") was later to prove that he did, indeed, have a sense of humour but it could hardly have been better exemplified than by his agreement to take part in this sci-fi yarn. Aliens - with a bit of a conscience - arrive on Earth from space determined to resettle it with their own billion-plus population. Snag for them is, they don't want blood on their hands/claws/pincers so they plan to cause ordinary insects and lizards to become giants so they can do their dirty work for them and eat humanity to extinction. It's now a race against time for the sceptical scientists to stop this fiendish plan. Yes it is every bit as bad as it sounds, the effects are poor and there is a serious surfeit of dialogue too."
