Storyline

In 1938, Queen Wilhelmina celebrated her fortieth anniversary of reign. This overview covers the development of the Netherlands during the period 1898–1938. We see constitutional issues Wilhelmina dealt with, as well as changes in transport, water management, and technology. The House of Orange was interested in science, culture, and sports; Queen and Prince Hendrik made an appearance at many festivities.
