"After a bridal weekend getaway for friend Angela -- which leads to the end of the engagement and no wedding -- bestie Lori begins getting videos of herself from the rental house and her own house, giving her great concern for herself and her family. Only the former groom-to-be is able to help as he booked the house, and there are a lot of concerning questions about the agent and the owner, but who is actually sending Lori the videos? _Somebody's Watching Me_ has a very good screenplay by Shannon Latimer that builds the mystery and never gives away who the culprit is, offering up a few red herring suspects. Of course, none of this would have even been an issue if Angela had spoken to Lori before things went sideways, but then we wouldn't have had a movie. Director Philippe Gagnon has also done a great job at keeping the entire mystery under wraps, guiding the actors so that no one ever gives away the game, keeping you guessing until the big reveal. The cast is uniformly excellent, headed by Kirsten Comerford, a great friend to Angela who tries to help her make the right decisions, a woman too often putting her career ahead of family, but also doing what she can to keep her son and mother safe while boldly confronting the man she believes is terrorizing her. Co-star Jesse Collin is excellent as former groom-to-be, James, showing some awkwardness at first when Lori comes to him for information, but appearing to be extremely concerned as the situation grows more dire, never allowing his performance to give away any of James' secrets. All in all, a gripping mystery that will keep you guessing, with great performances all around. Full review on HOTCHKA"
