Fresh Guacamole

"Can you imagine Julia Childs or Delia Snith setting about making a delicious guacamole by slicing and dicing up a hand grenade? Then adding some actual dice - of two colours, then a dash of golf ball/monopoly houses for added piquancy before seasoning. Well instead, it's PES who has crafted this quirky and quite entertaining stop-motion short that doesn't even trouble us for two minutes. It's the detail of the chopping that raises a smile. This isn't uniform and mechanised, these ingredients are different shapes and sizes and typify just how many of us might go about making something that hasn't any computerised symmetry to it. Is there a message? Well that was lost on me, but it's still quite an imaginative piece of cinema."
