2035: The Greenlight

"Director and cast arrogantly leaves guest appearance event at Bucheon without permitting audience to greet them, demonstrating possibly the inexorable power of conformity or possibly just overall hauteur. This is despite the fact that this is a sh-tty B-movie with an ugly lead. Film even opens with one of the most wooden performances ever even by the standards of untrained Western actors operating in Korea (see Squid Game). Promising premise and nice newscast simulation in opening give way to supposed “found footage” that is of course just cheap video taking largely just incomprehensible chase sequences in forests and tunnels. Avoid this trash and its cheesy ending. 2.5 stars."
