"A young girl called “Emily” plays in the meadow each day. She is usually harassed by a murder of squawking crows, but they are quickly dispersed by the “Crumblegiant” that emerges from the clouds to swish them away, leaving her to gambol around untroubled. Then one day the giant no longer comes, she must fend off the birds by herself - except, well they aren’t so troublesome now as she finds herself older and in bed in a building looking back on those times of her youth. There is something quite bleak about this short animation but the monochrome style of the flowing sketching works well as we appreciate the woman’s life is coming to it’s close and enjoy the scenes from nature as the birds dart about and the leaves follow the thermals of the ever-blowing wind."
