Biography
Marc-Michael Bischoff (born 1969 in Berlin) is a German actor. Bischoff grew up in Bochum and studied music and acting from 1987 to 1991 at the Detmold University of Music, as well as at Studio TIP Berlin—the former master class of the Academy of Arts of the GDR. From 1993 onwards, he worked at various theaters—including those in Celle, Zittau, Dresden, Cologne, and Berlin—before shifting his focus increasingly to film productions starting in 2000. Since the mid-1990s, he has appeared in numerous feature films and television movies. His most well-known works include roles in *Run Lola Run*, *Good Bye, Lenin!*, *Enemy at the Gates*, *(T)Raumschiff Surprise – Periode 1*, *Alles auf Zucker!*, *Taxidermia*, and *Pope Joan*. In 2008, Bischoff returned to the theater stage for the Berlin Festival production *Hommage à Klaus Nomi*, directed by Ulrike Ottinger, in which he portrayed the singer Klaus Nomi. In addition to his work as an actor, he also participates in radio drama productions. Furthermore, he plays the guitar and the cello. Bischoff lives in Berlin and, at times, in southern Norway.
